Extract fron WeekEnd Financial Review 11-12 June 05
Extract from the Sunday Times Newspaper 25th April 2004 During the period 2000-1 to 2002-3, residential investment in Mandurah has surged from $169 million to $837 million.
This means that every week more than $15 million is being committed to residential investment in the Mandurah area. Australian Bureau of Statistics figures for the June 2003 quarter show that the Mandurah area now accounts for nearly half of all new home approvals for the South West region of Western Australia. People are choosing to build new homes in Mandurah because land prices are still relatively affordable and the extension of the southern freeway has made Mandurah more accessible to the Perth city area. The resale value of new homes in the Mandurah area is also very strong with new homes constructed over the last two years achieving strong levels of capital growth.
